PHILADELPHIA CREAM, March 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Volumetric Building Companies (VBC), a global construction industry leader focused on building the future through volumetric modular techniques, today announced the transition of its Hamlet, North Carolina manufacturing plant at Cavco Industries as part of their business plan and ESG strategy to move operations from the East Coast to the Northeast United States

Buckley added, “In addition to the human benefits of this transition, VBC is able to pursue our ESG and carbon footprint reduction goals. Investing in a Northeast facility will reduce our outbound trucking emissions by 1,314 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year and have a significant environmental impact by taking the equivalent of nearly 300 passenger cars off the road. »

The two parties reached an agreement on February 28, 2022 VBC’s manufacturing of multi-family modules at the plant is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

VBC will make an announcement regarding new operations in the northeast in the near future.
