Two Flexible Factories Receive Excellence in Manufacturing Awards



Flex announced that two of its sites, Tczew, Poland and Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), Malaysia, have received Manufacturing Excellence Awards from the Association of Manufacturing Excellence (AME).

The Manufacturing Excellence Award recognizes organizations that have implemented a lean systems model for manufacturing excellence. As the only manufacturing company to receive the award at this year’s AME annual conference in Dallas, Texas, Flex sites demonstrated a culture of continuous improvement and lean innovation throughout the company.

The Tczew, Poland site began its Lean journey 14 years ago and has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to employee engagement, implementing over 2,000 employee continuous improvement ideas.

The PTP site in Malaysia began its Lean journey in 2017, focusing on leadership commitment, operational excellence, quality management, supply chain resilience and improving processes. offices. The team also leverages lean and Six Sigma to develop local automation programs to optimize plant floor space and improve productivity, safety and ergonomics.
