Student matinee production of Grease



BELFAST – Travel down memory lane with your favorite characters and songs from the classic Broadway musical Fatperformed by the Belfast Area High School drama club from 17–20 November on the high school stage.

Written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, Fat was on Broadway for 3,388 performances. It was made into a blockbuster movie starring Maine summer resident John Travolta and recently deceased Olivia Newton-John.

The cast includes Connor Bowles as Danny, Hayle Withee as Sandy, Annabelle Lisa as Rizzo, Bobbi Withee as Kenickie, Marina Bannister as Marty, Mirabelle Kutsy-Durbin as Frenchy, Gabriela Gardner as Jan, Miles Mailloux as Roger, Chase Weaver as Doody, Gray Cole as Sonny, Nevyn Harvey as Eugene, Shaylynn Williams as Patty, Stephanie Rush as Miss Lynch, Cole Mailloux as Vince Fontaine, Scarlett Peebles as Teen Angel, Jade Ludwick as Johnny Casino and Etta Hughes as Cha-Cha.

Fat is led by RSU 71 Theater Arts teacher Jason Bannister. Dominic Williams is the musical director. Julia Clapp is the choreographer. Sarah Joy is the costume designer/hair/makeup artist. Robyn Mailloux and Alison Harvey take care of the accessories.

Performances take place on the Belfast Area High School stage on Thursday, Friday and Saturday November 17, 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. Matinees are Saturday and Sunday, November 19 and 20 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are available at the door, $5 for adults, $3 for students.
