Lakeside Foods, a local family-owned food supply company, announced on Friday that it will buy Cher-Make Sausage, a 93-year-old company that produces authentic sausages sold nationwide, including in league baseball games. local minors.
Officials note that this merger will not negatively affect the employees and day-to-day operations of either factory, but rather will benefit both parties in various ways. Lakeside Foods says as part of the deal, Cher-Make’s management team, including its chairman, Tom Chermak, would remain in place, along with all employees working at its Manitowoc plant.
