Healio Allergy/Asthma announces the creation of its esteemed Peer Perspective Board

Top allergy, asthma and immunology specialists have formed the Healio Allergy/Asthma Peer Perspective Board to help guide coverage and provide expert advice on the latest advances in the field.

Board members have years of experience treating patients with asthma, food and drug allergies, allergic rhinitis and nasal polyps, chronic urticaria and eczema, eosinophilic esophagitis, primary immunodeficiency and more. Their knowledge and expertise will help inform our coverage and support Healio’s ongoing mission to curate and tailor news and education for the practicing physician.

Healio Allergy/Asthma is pleased to announce the members of its Board of Directors, including:

Priya Bansal, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI

Priya Bansal

Bansal is an allergist and immunologist at the Asthma and Allergy Wellness Center in St. Charles, Illinois, and a faculty member at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. She is Co-Chair of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Practice Management Workshop and Chair of its Communications Oversight Committee. She is also a member of the AAAAI COVID-19 Task Force and the AAAAI Board of Directors. Additionally, she is a delegate to the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology House of Delegates.

Mark L. Corbett, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI

Mark L. Corbett

Corbett is an allergist with Family Allergy & Asthma in Louisville, Kentucky, and the current president of the ACAAI. He also sits on the ACAAI Board of Directors.

Jessica Grayson, MD

Jessica Grayson

Grayson is an assistant professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the University of Alabama at the Birmingham Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine. There she is also co-director of rhinology and anterior skull base surgery and physician in charge of the otolaryngology clinic.

Emma Guttman-Yassky, MD, PhD

Emma Guttman-Yassky

Guttman-Yassky is the Waldman Professor and System Director in the Kimberly and Eric J. Waldman Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is also director of the Eczema Center of Excellence and the Inflammatory Skin Diseases Laboratory.

Douglas H. Jones, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI

Douglas H. Jones

Jones is co-founder of Global Food Therapy, Food Allergy Support Team and OITConnect, and director of Rocky Mountain Allergy at Tanner Clinic.

Mahboobeh Mahdavinia, MD, PhD, FAAAAI

Mahboobeh Mahdavinia

Mahdavinia is Chief of the Division of Allergy and Immunology at Rush University Medical Center and Associate Professor of Medicine and Graduate Studies in the Division of Allergy and Immunology in the Department of Internal Medicine at Rush Medical College.

Kelly Maples, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI

Kelly Maples

Maples is an associate professor of pediatrics and internal medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School and an allergist and immunologist at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters. She recently completed a 3-year term on the ACAAI Board of Directors and, in addition to serving on the ACAAI Annual Meeting Programming Committee, is Chair of the Dermatology Committee and Board ACAAI scientist.

Jennifer Namazy, MD, FAAAAI

Jennifer Namazy

Namazy is an allergist and immunologist at Scripps Clinic Medical Group. She is chair of the AAAAI’s Committee on Women’s Health and a member of the AAAAI’s Vaccine and Medication Monitoring Systems in Pregnancy, or VAMPSS. She is also past president of the Western Society of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the San Diego Allergy Society.

John J. Oppenheimer, MD

John J. Oppenheimer

Oppenheimer is a clinical professor of medicine at Rutgers University UMDNJ School of Medicine and an allergist at Pulmonary and Allergy Associates NJ.

Rima Rachid, MD, FAAAAI

Rima Rachid

Rachid is Director of the Allergen Immunotherapy Program and Co-Director of the Food Allergy Program at Boston Children’s Hospital, a FARE Clinical Network Discovery Center. She is also an associate professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.

Allison Ramsey, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI

Allison Ramsey

Ramsey is an allergist and clinical immunologist at Rochester Regional Health, as well as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She is also Chair of the AAAAI Committee on Adverse Drug, Biologic and Latex Reactions.
